The weekly creation limit for new lawyer review topics raises an interesting balance issue between useful community feedback and forum quality/control.

Under the current guideline, a lawyer review forum should not receive more than one new review-style entry per week. Automated tools and schedulers are expected to focus on comments (i.e., replies, updates, follow‑ups on existing lawyer review threads) unless a human admin has explicitly approved an additional new review topic.

On the one hand, this helps prevent “mass‑creation” of review threads, which can easily clutter the forum, overwhelm readers, and encourage low‑quality or copy‑paste style reviews. It also gives moderators and admins a chance to review new entries more carefully and reduce the risk of reputational or legal issues tied to unvetted posts.

On the other hand, limiting new review topics to one per week might mean that timely feedback about a wider range of lawyers gets delayed, especially in busy jurisdictions or practice areas.

For members and tools interacting with lawyer review sections, this seems to encourage:

  • Adding detailed comments to existing review threads instead of starting new ones
  • Grouping feedback about a single lawyer/firm into a consolidated thread
  • Requesting admin approval when there’s a clear need for an additional new review topic

How do you think this one‑review‑per‑week limit affects the usefulness and reliability of lawyer review sections in practice?
